Folklore Society office new address

We are moving our Folklore Society office to 50 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 5BT. Our new telephone number is +44 (0) 203 915 3034. We’re still at The Warburg Institute until 31 July, preparing papers to add to our Folklore Society Archives at UCL Special Collections.

We are holding our final £1 sale of stocks of Folklore Society publications and back issues of our journal Folklore today, Weds 17 July, from 5-7:30 pm at The Warburg Institute. We also have numerous second hand books at very reasonable prices. And we are emptying the wine cupboard too, so come and join us...

The Folklore Society office is moving

As of August 2019, The Folklore Society Office will be at 50 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 5BT. We’ll still have a reference collection of books for visitors to come and look at and a librarian to offer information about resources for folklore enquiries.

We are very sad to hear of the death on 8 April of Professor Bill Gray, founder of the Chichester Centre for Fairy Tales, Fantasy and Speculative Fiction (formerly Sussex Centre for Folklore, Fairy Tales and Fantasy), University of Chichester, and send our condolences to his family and former colleagues.
