Folklore Fellows Communications on Open Access

— Posted on 26th April 2024

Exciting news from Folklore Fellows Communications:

‘This is a quick note to inform you that we have launched our long-planned Open Access site for Folklore Fellows Communications volumes that are beyond the embargo period. ‘Since 2021, the publisher of the FFC series is the Kalevala Society Foundation (est. 1911), a highly esteemed institution of research and art based in Helsinki, Finland. Through the Kalevala Society, or Kalevalaseura in its native Finnish, we have access to the Edition.fi publication platform, which is provided by the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies. It is a safe and stable platform for publishing Open Access monographs.

We hope that you will find this service useful!’

Visit https://edition.fi/kalevalaseura/ to download pdf versions of the FFC volumes now available on Open Access–including Hans-Jörg Uther’s invaluable The Types of International Folktales, 3 vols (FFC 284-286), 2011.
