Katharine Briggs Award 2019–Short List

We are very pleased to announce the short list for this year’s Katharine Briggs Award. The short listed entries are (in alphabetical order):

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 29 October after our annual Katharine Briggs Lecture, from 5:30 pm at The Warburg Institute, Woburn Square, London WC1H 0AB.

This year’s lecture will be given by Prof. Dr Ulrika Wolf-Knuts (Åbo Akademi University, Finland): “What Can We Do With Old Records of Folk Belief? On the Example of Devil Lore”.

After the lecture, from 7:00 pm, there will be a wine reception and buffet, during which all the books entered for this year’s award will be on display.
