Common Ground Lincs are excited to be working again with North Lincolnshire Museum to create an exhibition of contemporary artworks made in response to folklore.

Our curators are seeking works that explore themes of folklore and stories, traditional customs, folk music, folk medicine, witchcraft, and magic. Artwork can be of any medium. Including, but not limited to, painting, photography, collage, digital, sculpture, or sound. Work can be existing or submitted as a commission. This is a paid opportunity.

Selected artists will have the opportunity to display for a season at North Lincolnshire Museum, work alongside and develop connections with a renowned museum service as well as co-operate with our passionate curators. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to view parts of the Ethel Rudkin Collection. This is a collection of ephemera relating to folklore, customs and traditions collected by Lincolnshire folklorist, Ethel Rudkin.

Applications will only be accepted from the United Kingdom.
