The Katharine Briggs Award 2016: Short List

Of the nineteen entries this year, the judges short listed the following six books (in alphabetical order):

Victoria Louise Newton, Everyday Discourses on Menstruation: Cultural and Social Perspectives (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).

Éamonn Ó Tuathail, (ed.), Sgéalta Mhuintir Luinigh. Munterloney Folktales: Irish Tradition from Co. Tyrone (Comhairle Bhéaloideas Éireann/An Cumann le Béaloideas Éireann, 2016).

Lisa Tallis, (ed.), Cas gan Gythraul: Demonology, Witchcraft and Popular Magic in Eighteenth-Century Wales, T.P. (South Wales Record Society, 2015).

The winner will be announced on Wednesday 9 November during a reception after the Katharine Briggs Lecture at The Warburg Institute, 6.30 pm. All the books entered for the award will be on display for guests to browse.
